Perigueux

We were greeted at the Perigueux train station by Louis Oziak along with two other members of the branch there. While Spencer was serving in Perigueux, he met Louis who walked straight up to Spencer and said, "I'm a member of your church!" (in English) It took a minute or two for Spencer to actually believe him, but as it turns out, Louis, orginially from Texas, was baptized in Mexico while he lived there for work.

He was moved to France by his work and prayed to find out where he should live. Petit Parigueux was the answer. He didn't find the church at first in Perigueux so he simply studied his scriptures everyday. He was thrilled to run into missionaries. He is doing well in the branch now still working on his French. He also get to know another Sister (Soeur Mas)in the branch and now they are planning on getting married. The nicest people!

We went to Soeur Mas's house for dinner that night and enjoyed authentic crepes! They were absolutely delicious! Frere Oziak and Soeur Mas even came faithfully to pick us up from our hotel at 5:30AM to take us to the train stations. We were planning on leaving at around 8:30, but there was a train station that burned down so there was only one train we could take to get back to Bordeaux to catch the TGV to Paris.
