Tuesday April 29

We hiked the valley today and tried to catch all 72 of the waterfalls that are there, we even were able to see a new one created! We went to Trummelbach falls which is a series of waterfalls that flows through the mountain – you can hike through the mountain by caves to see the cascades. We then went up to Murren and hiked along the ride before coming back down to Lautebrunnan. We finished the day off with some delicious cheese fondue.

The Swiss sure know how to bury people! Heart-shaped grave seen on our morning valley walk.

I thought this picture was especially appropriate. One of the great things about Switzerland is their actual use of shutters to open the windows. The only problem with the crisp mountain air is occasionally you get a nasty whiff of these creatures…

Climbing through the caves at Trummelbach Falls (waterfalls were hard to get on camera)

View from Trummelbach Falls, the city you see is Lautebrunnan where we stayed.

The cliffs that are on both sides of the valley where paragliders and base jumpers start their quick trip down.

Finally some sunshine!

The tram we took to scale the cliffs up to Murren
