Yvoire and Geneva

Today we used our handy dandy (for all those Blues Clues fans out there) Eurail passes to ride the ferries across Lake Geneva to a little, well-preserved Medieval town Yvoire. It was fun to take a boat ride instead of the train!

After Yvoire, we took the train into Geneva to walk around and make the search for Movenpick ice cream. Spencer's dad, Stan the Man, served his mission in Geneva and he loved to order a Colibri Geant from Movenpick. Not having any instructions or even map, we set out from the train station in Geneva to find this gem of Geneva. Miraculously we ran right into it while exploring little allies around the city. Quelle chance!

A Colibri Geant is a dessert consisting of three scoops of ice cream - mango, raspberry, and vanilla - mixed with pieces of fresh fruit and whip cream. Yummy!

Although not Movenpick, we did also see the famous 'spout' in Lake Geneva, with a soccer ball for the upcoming FIFA tournament held in Switzerland.
