We made it to New Jersey and the flight was relatively uneventful (whew!). The next day we headed down to the shore (in NJ it's the shore not the beach.) Although it's mid-June, it was absolutely freezing! It was literally in the mid 50's and rainy. Nonetheless, my dad showed his fearless side as shown below.
Everyone else we saw in the water had wetsuits.

Ha that picture of your dad in the water is classic Kin. Sad that I wasn't there to make this glorious trip to New Jersey.
