In honor of Columbus Day we woke up early and went exploring - getting to know our neighborhood better, discovering local playgrounds, appreciating the beautiful day, cheering on the boats and orienting ourselves by the bridges...all from the other side of the river.
Driving home later in the day at sunset - such an amazing October day!

what a gorgeous place! hope we get to visit you before your time is up there... you capture these life moments so beautifully mackenzie - it inspires me to do likewise... thank you for your influence. (getting a bit sentimental here but there are very few people in this life that you connect with deeply even if you haven't spent that much time with them, and you are definitely one of those people in my life. i'm glad we crossed paths and i pray those paths will cross over again. missing you...)
