nothing and I repeat NOTHING is better than being with family.  We've realized that living so far away for so long but it makes the time we do have together so. much. fun. It doesn't matter where we are, we'll have fun.  It's a Harding guarantee. Jealous?  You should be because it's that awesome.  The weekend when Grandma, Celeste and Niki came was no different.  Bullet points always do the trick - my kids deserve to remember just how fun the Harding crew is.

  • the glittery bag that had us all mesmorized
  • evening on the water in Hudson, WI.  We're about 10 minutes from the Wisconsin border - you learn a lot about midwest geography by living here!
  • seeing their first movie - Brave.  too scary.  Madeleine asked to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes because she was scared.  Henry was in heaven with the popcorn - until he was swallowed up by the chair :)
  • sweating through the Minneapolis sculpture garden including family poses, jumping contests, and races
  • mixing between camera and phone
  • Mill Ruins Park along the Mississippi (yet another lesson in my midwest geography...) - once again braving the heat wave
  • going to the Mall of America straight from the airport to enjoy amazing crepes and ride the roller coasters with Aunts.
  • finally getting smart about the heat wave and skipping other outdoors activities and going BACK to the Mall of America to hit the rides even more.
  • taking our whole family on the log flume...might have been too soon for the kids
  • experiencing burgers wisconsin cheese curds and custard at Culvers
  • have a stars and stripes birthday party for Henry (in another post)
  • reading "going on a bear hunt" over and over again just so Niki can act out the bear coming
