Our October has been a doozy. How many times do you see that word spelled out? And spelled correctly? incorrectly? Just thought it fit. It's been busy, sad, sick, hectic, exciting, colorful, relieving, beautiful, emotional, chaotic...and I could go on.
We're excited for what hopes to be an uneventful November.
For Conference weekend, my parents and sister Abby came into town. We enjoyed the uplifting messages shared, took walks around campus and celebrated Columbus Day by heading to Martha's Vineyard.
It was a lot packed into a day, but I'm glad we did it. We had ring collecting contests on what seemed like an ancient carousel, contests for who could find the most uncomfortable nap spot - Henry and Spencer won hands down, devoured enormous apple fritters, basked in the sunshine on the ferry, chowed down lunch at Sharky's and overall had a good time enjoying the island before portions shut down for the season.
