This year for the annual Harding Family vacation, the clan headed down to sunny St. George for a few days. Recently Spencer had been going through all of his old stuff in his room before we move. Spencer conveniently found all sorts of family vacation paraphernalia from years past and secretly stashed t-shirts, pins, bracelets, and hats away only to be debuted during this year's vacation. Here's a shot of us one day trying to sport as many things as possible.
One of the highlights of our time in St. George was going to see the production of Annie at Tuacahn - an outdoor theater. I LOVE musicals and especially love when I know all the songs. Annie was fantastic and even Madeleine did pretty well consider how late it was.
One of the non-highlights included taking just a few wrong turns to get to Tuacahn and ending up miles away. We eneded up stopping at some random Native American souvenir shack (the only thing around). The woman laughed when we told her where we were trying to go - we were so far off! Turns out, after driving 30 miles away from our house, that Tuacahn was really just down the road from our house! Fun times.

Another highlight included seeing UP! in 3-D. It was a cute movie. Madeleine wasn't as cooperative during the movie as she was during Annie. While Spencer was holding her, she had a HUGE blowout during the movie. After multiple diaper changes, she just wouldn't sit still. Needless to say, we spent most of the movie standing in the doorway.
Our last day in St. George we headed out to Zion National Park. That morning we got up early, lathered ourselves in spf 200 sunscreen and practically dressed for the beach. Unfortunately we failed to check the weather. It rained the whole day and believe me, it didn't break 60 degrees! I had every burp cloth, nursing cover, and blanket I could find wrapped around Madeleine to keep her from freezing.
We also had the inagural use of our Kelty baby backpack - Madeleine loved it just as much as we did! It made for a very enjoyable (and freezing) day hiking around such beautiful surroundings!

Don't let the blue sky behind the park sign fool you - I grabbed that off the internet. It was NOT sunny at all that day!
