Birthday

She's 5.  Seems like she's 15, but she's only 5.  At the same time, how is she already FIVE?!?

She had been talking about her birthday ever since her last birthday it seemed like.  She talked about the party and the big day for months and months, down to every detail.  The ironic thing was that although she had been invited to other friends parties, the only people she wanted to invite were all adults.  Primary teacher, preschool teacher, aunts, grandparents, and even some of my friends.  Yet she wanted a princess cake along with every accessory possible for her American Girl knock off doll from Target, Shannon.

My parents surprised her for her birthday by flying in to spend the week with us.  Surprises never get old!  We went straight over to MOA and did our thing - American Girl and then the rids.  It was great to sit back and watch my kids have the times of their lives.

Madeleine's got big things ahead of her.  Young girl with an old, wise, inquisitive spirit.  So lucky to call her ours.
