at first glance it seems to be just a cute picture, but this picture depicts the result of 20 minutes of intense, focused hard work






a) the chair. she moves this thing all over the house like it's something that could fit in her pocket. She gets SO frustrated when it gets stuck or it can't fit in the exact spot she wants. she likes to move it right against the couch and tuck it under the couch so it can no longer rock - easier said than done. 5 of the 20 minutes.





b) the pillow. fitting a square peg in a round hole? almost the same. She insisted this large pillow somehow fit in the back of her chair so she could rest on it. Why? no idea, but she had her heart set on it - this was how it was going to be and that's that.





c) the stool. Under the blanket she has her feet propped up on a stool that has Henry's name as cut out wooden puzzle pieces. It's a heavy stool so when M tries to move it it always tips over and then there's a 5 piece puzzle at hand. 3 puzzles completed and 5 minutes to move 10 feet.





d) the blanket. Although there are multiple blankets downstairs on the couch (throws) and about 3 of Henry's blankets within an arms reach, Madeleine insisted on the snowman blanket and went all the way upstairs to find it. Dragging it down was easier said than done - she fell down the last two stairs because she got caught in it; it's a bit bigger than the normal blankets she totes around.





e)the assembly. It took her probably 5 tries to climb up without knocking the balanced pillow off while still holding on to the blanket so it wouldn't fall on the ground where she couldn't reach it. Finally she sat down to enjoy her masterpiece set up - for all of 30 seconds. It's her own lazyboy - the tailgating/campfire/grandma look.

I'm guessing she'll soon be in the 'let's build a fort' stage.
